There's a famous John Lennon quote that says, "Everything will be okay in the end, if it's not okay, it's not the end".

I remembered this quote when watching the movie Look Both Ways on Netflix. No spoliers but it's basically a dramedy, featuring Lili Reinhart and Danny Ramirez. It's a feel good sort of movie that I think captures the essence of John Lennon's quote really well.

Sometimes life doesn't work out the way we think it should but I believe we always end up where we're supposed to be. You may take unintended paths, unexpected circumstances might occur along the way and these might even seem like derailments or delays. But ultimately, God uses everything that happens in our lives, the good, the bad, the mistakes, all of it, to guide us to where we're supposed to be, to where He intends for us to be.

Even when we make the wrong decisions and live through the consequences, it's comforting to know that these moments are not a surprise to God. He can still use them to direct us to our intended paths. What a gracious God!🙌🏾

Looking as far back as my time in primary school or even high school, I would have never thought life would lead me to where I am today, to this present moment.

If anyone would have told me back then that life would lead me here, with all of the mistakes made and lessons learnt, blessings and opportunities, I would still not have believed them at all. But God!

There's an old yiddish saying, "Der Mensch Tracht, Un Gott Lacht" which means "man plans and God laughs".

Proverbs 16:9 says, "We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps".

No matter how much I plan and try to organise my life, God has the ultimate say and control over it, whether I acknowledge Him or not. So I'm learning to let go and not be so rigid with my plans. This doesn't encourage laziness or complacency but it means that if I give it my best and things don't work out, then I shouldn't fret. God will open certain doors and close some. At the right time, He'll show me the opportunities that are meant for me and He'll ultimately lead me to my intended destination.

So if things aren't okay now, know they'll be okay in the end because God's got you and me. 🤍🤗
